Effective commissioning is critical to ensuring that a high-voltage installation is safe, compliant and ready for energisation. Iris HV Engineering provides independent commissioning management for HV substations and associated infrastructure, coordinating the technical activities required to move a project from construction completion through testing, energisation and handover.

We can manage commissioning activities both on and off site, coordinating contractors, manufacturers, testing specialists and client teams to ensure that the required testing and documentation is completed in a controlled and logical sequence. Where required, we can also provide and manage TP141 commissioning resources.

Our approach focuses on technical assurance as well as programme delivery. We identify interfaces and outstanding issues early, maintain clear visibility of commissioning status and ensure that test results, records and outstanding actions are properly managed before the asset is placed into service.
